NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE A REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR
CIVIL ENGINEER/LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT DESIGN SERVICES
The Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs (ADVA) is soliciting responses from qualified consultants to provide basic professional civil architect design services as defined by the DFA/Division of Building Authority Minimum Standards and Criteria (MSC) for cemetery expansion and development located at 1501 West Maryland Avenue in North Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas.
ADVA is seeking a qualified firm to provide professional landscape architect design services for capital improvements consisting of:
- Expansion of the cemetery, includes site work, such as grading, drainage, and landscaping.
- Columbarium expansion (1,440 Niches)
- Oversize Interment expansion (100 crypts)
- Committal Shelter (casket cart path, storage and road expansion)
- Widen road with mountable curb and gutter (6,000’ of road work)
- Expand/replace runoff culverts at two locations (between sections B & C and H & J)
- Fence (Extend perimeter fence)
- Laydown yard (concrete pad and covered storage bin for dirt, sand, rock and mulch)
- Honor guard room (break area) approximately 260 sq. ft.
- Irrigation support well, pond/wetland
- Crypt field drainage sections J, K, L and M (Mitigate water in crypts)
A detailed request for qualifications (RFQ) package will be provided to interested parties outlining the submittal requirements and selection methodology. Responses received for this RFQ will be used to screen prospective consultants and select finalist for interview in accordance with the MSC. The Agency reserves the right to negotiate fees on a percentage basis, lump sum basis or an hourly not-to-exceed basis on individual project assignments as appropriate for the contemplated work.
The deadline for submitting detailed responses to this RFQ will be 4:00 PM CST, Monday, October 16, 2017.

We are seeking bids for the fall seasonal cleanup of the flower beds and trimming shrubbery at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery-NLR located at 1501 West Maryland Avenue. NLR, AR 72120.
Scope of Work: First bid
*All flower beds are to be trimmed, weeded, cleaned of debris, new mulch needs to be added where needed and shrubs should be shaped. Any plants that are dead, need to be removed. (We will point these out.)
The flower beds are located in the following areas:
The Front Entrance – on both sides of the road
The Long Islands inside the main gate – 3 divided islands
The Administration Building
The Memorial Wall
The Flag Display around the lake
*We are requesting an additional quote which encompasses, pulling back the mulch and putting down netting for weed control.
Scope of Work:
Remove mulch from flower beds.
Install weed guard or weed netting barrier
Replace mulch in flower beds with the mulch that was removed.
