NW ARKANSAS VETERANS TOWN HALL MEETING SET FOR MONDAY...
(LITTLE ROCK) (April 7, 2019) A very important Town Hall Meeting is being held at 8:00 p.m. this Monday, April 8, 2019 at American Legion Post #27, 1195 Curtis Avenue, in Fayetteville regarding Veterans Health Care in Arkansas…and veterans, along with their families, as well as media representatives are encouraged to attend as a large turnout is expected.
This Town Hall Meeting is one of many such events that the American Legion will conduct around the United States this year. The Legion hosts these events to hear feedback from veterans about the quality of health care they receive at their local VA facilities. Representatives from The American Legion Department of Arkansas, The American Legion National Headquarters office in Washington, D.C., and representatives from the Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs, the VA, and members of the Arkansas Congressional Delegation will be in attendance at this very important and decisive event.
In addition, members of the American Legion National Headquarters office in Washington, D.C. and local government leaders will be touring Northwest Arkansas Veterans Health Care Facilities on April 9-10, along with the aforementioned leaders above.
With a current membership of two million wartime veterans, The American Legion was founded in 1919 on the four pillars of a strong national security, veterans affairs, Americanism, and youth programs. Legionnaires work for the betterment of their communities through more than 12,000 posts across the nation.
The mission of American Legionnaires is to serve God and Country, the needs of ALL veterans and their families, our communities, and our state, and the goal with this Town Hall Meeting is to continue to address the health care concerns of those who have served our nation in order to preserve our country’s freedom and democracy, and now it is time to provide them with the quality health care they so well deserve.
