PACT ACT Screenings, Town Halls, and Symposiums
Arkansas veterans have four federal VA events designed to connect them and their families with their PACT ACT benefits using Veterans Administration health care and benefit experts Dec 14, 15 and 16.
The Pact ACT impacts health care and benefits for veterans. VA healthcare and VA Benefits are managed by separate components of the Federal VA.
These components of the VA are hosting separate events live and virtual to screen veterans and ensure veterans who are eligible for these health and benefits apply for them.
The health side of the VA, known as the Veterans Health Administration, is hosting a virtual screening Dec. 14 at 10 a.m.
The virtual PACT Act Town Hall is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday Dec. 14 and veterans and their family members can attend by scanning the QR code on the picture with this article
Two live events, one in Memphis and one in North Little Rock are scheduled for Thursday (December 15.) The live events put the experts from the health side and benefits side of the VA in the same room as the veteran. The North Little Rock event is scheduled for 4 to 7 p.m. at the Eugene J. Towbin Healthcare Center also known as the Fort Roots VA hospital. Staff from both the Central Arkansas Veterans Health Services and the Veterans Administration Little Rock Regional Office will be available to help Veterans apply for benefits, complete toxic exposure screenings and enroll in VA health care.
The Memphis event will also bring experts to one location and asks veterans to bring a DD214 and most recent tax return to their event scheduled for 3:30 p.m.Thursday (DEC 15) at Classroom BE202C at the Memphis Veteran Affairs Medical Center. Veterans heading to the event can also check their VA health elgibility before the Thursday by calling 1 8777 222 8387.
The Towbin Healthcare center is located on the ground floor of the main hospital , building 170 located at 2200 Fort Roots drive North Little Rock Arkansas.
Friday December 16 a virtual symposium by the Veterans Benefits Administration runs from 2 to 5 p.m.
