New Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) Provider for Veterans in the Helena Area

(Memphis, TN) A new Veterans Community Based Outpatient Clinic is planned for veterans residing in Phillips, Lee and surrounding counties of Helena, AR.  The new VA clinic will be managed by Delta AHEC and the address of the new clinic will be 812 Newman Drive, Helena, AR  72342.

Veterans will receive primary, preventative and basic mental health care services in addition to diagnostic services, such as laboratory and x-ray.  The clinic is expected to open in 2009.

"We are pleased that by opening a clinic in Helena, AR, we achieve the goal of increasing access to high quality care for our veterans closer to where they live" said Donna Savoy, Memphis CBOC Administrator.

Patients of the Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center or South VA Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee that live in the area surrounding Helena, AR will be notified by mail when the clinic is ready to open.  The notification will include instructions and the veterans will be asked to complete a form indicating their desire to become a patient of the new clinic in Helena.
