Please apply before 01 May 2021 The RF Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing digital transmission sites, installing new equipment, and maintaining remote telemetry return links. This position requires the ability to act independently following verbal and written direction from supervisors and manufacturer’s literature, to install and make repairs to broadcast television transmitters and all associated equipment microwave delivery system and IP based remote control systems used in all facets of the statewide public broadcasting network. Trade School or Military Qualifications in Electronics with verifiable work experience, RG maintenance experience in Radio or Television broadcast with Society of Broadcast Engineers trade certification experience will be excepted. The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent IT networking and repair skills. Working knowledge of broadcast networks, equipment software programs and systems as applied to the effective delivery of television signals is required. A service support knowledge of power generation equipment, electrical power distribution equipment as well as HVAC and building environmental and mechanical services is needed. Ability to quickly assess problematic situations; formulate and implement effective solutions; articulate and document discrepancies; and work around major problems. State vehicle will be provided for business use only due to the extensive daily in-state travel.
