Danny Luncsford
Director
“I first entered Long Term Care in 1990, however, my mother was a nurse in Long Term Care for more than 30 years , and she would often take me to the facility to do activities with the residents. When I first entered, I was a Nursing Assistant while I was attending school to obtain a nursing license. In 1992, I started working as a Charge Nurse. In 1999, the Director of Nursing encouraged me to move to the position as the MDS Coordinator, and I ultimately got Resident Assessment Coordinator (RAC-CT) certified. In 2010, the facility administrator encouraged me to get a Nursing Home Administrator License. After completing the Administrator in Training program with the Arkansas Healthcare Association, I obtained my license in 2011.
My first job as an administrator was with Reliance Healthcare managing their facility in Flippin, Arkansas. I later moved to Little Rock and worked at Premier Nursing and Rehabilitation as administrator before being offered the position as the administrator at the Arkansas Veterans’ Home at North Little Rock. In February of 2023, I was promoted to the Veterans’ Homes Division Director overseeing both the North Little Rock and Fayetteville Veterans’ Homes.
I feel very privileged to be able to work in an area that I truly do love and being able to be an advocate for the geriatric community, as well as the Long-Term Care Industry as a whole. I did have a short time of working in an acute care setting in the mid 1990’s, but quickly realized that my heart was in geriatrics. I proud of my work history and hope to continue to be apart of this industry for years to come.”
