The Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs (ADVA) is committed to affording fair and equal opportunity to all employees, contractors, customers, and job applicants. To ensure adherence to these expectations, and to allow the ADVA to take prompt corrective action where these expectations are not met, the ADVA Director issues this Executive Directive to clarify the applicability of ADVA Policy 2-27 (Equal Opportunity), ADVA Complaint of Employment Discrimination form, and ADVA Discrimination is prohibited posting.
ADVA construes Policy 2-27 and its prohibition on discrimination to apply to the following entities: ADVA, ADVA’s contractors, ADVA’s grantees, and ADVA’s sub-grantees.
The following persons may use ADVA Complaint of Employment Discrimination form to file a complaint of discrimination, harassment , or retaliation under Policy 2-27: employees of ADVA, ADVA’s contractors, grantees, and sub-grantees; applicants seeking employment with ADVA, or ADVA’s contractors, grantees, and sub-grantees; individual contractors and prospective contractors of ADVA, ADVA’s contractors, grantees, and sub-grantees; and clients, customers, and applicants for services or benefits of ADVA, ADVA’s contractors, grantees, and sub-grantees. Beginning immediately, these persons may utilize ADVA Complain of Employment Discrimination form and the ADVA Equal Employment Officer to make complaints of unlawful discrimination, harassment, or retaliation.
