LEGAL NOTICE
The Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs will hold a public hearing on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Arkansas State Veterans Home, 2401 John Ashley Drive, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72114. The public hearing will be conducted for the purpose of accepting public comment on proposed administrative rules regarding eligibility for admission to the Arkansas State Veterans Homes, to establish operating guidelines and procedures for the Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans’ Child Welfare Service, and eligibility for burial in the Arkansas State Veterans’ Cemeteries.
The proposed rules would accomplish the following:
Provide guidelines to determine eligibility of veterans for admission to an Arkansas State Veterans’ Home and monetary charges to be made for veterans residing in a veterans’ home.
To establish guidelines for eligibility to receive benefit from the Arkansas State Veterans’ Child Welfare Service.
To clarify eligibility for burial in the Arkansas State Veterans’ Cemeteries.
Written comment will be accepted through Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. by the Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs at 501 Woodlane Street, Suite 401N, Little Rock, Arkansas 72201.
